Does your life seem to be under spiritual attack often - your family, your health, your finances? Delay, sorrow, grief: will it ever end? Trials from satan can come in many disguises, and can be very exhausting and heartbreaking to the believer in Jesus. Even when you've done everything right, things can still turn out wrong.

My family and I have received our share of trials and sorrows: multiple miscarriages, an almost full-term pregnancy loss, job instability, more than one terrible health diagnosis, moving cross country, and losing friends and family. As we pressed into Jesus through every trial, it seemed the attacks from satan got worse. Looking back, I realized we had become a threat to the kingdom of darkness because of our intimacy with the Father. He was certainly not silent through all of this; as satan raised the bar, so did God with blessing upon blessing from heaven. He graciously favored us with an angel visitation, several miraculous healings, a whirlwind, heavenly snow, and more. We learned to enter God's rest no matter the trial, and so can you (Hebrews 4).

It's not about the trials, because Jesus said they will come (John 16:33). It's about how you handle the trials as God's intimate friend that makes all the difference.
